ANNOUNCEMENT
We are happy to announce the Conference "Harmonic Analysis and PDE" in honor of Professor Vladimir Maz'ya to be held in Holon Institute of Technology, May 26-31, 2019.
The meeting will provide a forum for discussions and exchange of new ideas, perspectives and recent developments in the broad field of Modern Analysis.
The topics to be addressed include (but not restricted to)
- * Complex and Harmonic Analysis
- * Partial Differential Equation
- * Operator Theory and Nonlinear Analysis
- * Quasiconformal Mappings and Geometry
The following institutions have contributed to the organization of this conference: Bar-Ilan University, Holon Institute of Technology, and Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN).
The registration fee is 150 Euro and covers the conference materials, lunches, coffee breaks, get together party and social program.
Vladimir Maz'ya is an outstanding mathematician who has strongly influenced the development of mathematical analysis and the theory of partial differential equations and has been hailed as "one of the most distinguished analysts of our time." He is the author or coauthor of some 40 monographs and 500 research papers.
Professor Maz’ya was the first recipient of the "Young Mathematician" prize of the Leningrad Mathematical Society (1962). Subsequent honors include the Humboldt Prize (1999), the Verdaguer Prize of the French Academy of Sciences (2003), the Celsius Gold Medal of the Royal Society of Sciences in Uppsala (2004), and the Senior Whitehead Prize of the London Mathematical Society (2009).
Maz’ya is an elected member of the Royal Society of Edinburgh (2000) and the Swedish Academy of Science (2002), a foreign member of the Georgian National Academy of Science (2013), and an Inaugural Fellow of the American Mathematical Society (2012).
