Announcement

We are happy to announce the Workshop "Complex Analysis and Operator Theory" honoring Daoud Bshouty, David Shoikhet and Simeon Reich, to be held at HIT Holon Institute of Technology, May 27-28, 2024.

The meeting will provide a forum for discussions and exchange of new ideas, perspectives and recent developments in the broad field of Modern Analysis.

We would like to kindly ask you to distribute this announcement among your friends and colleagues. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the Organizing Committee. We are looking forward to seeing you in Holon.

Daoud Bshouty was born in Israel in 1953. He received a D.Sc. from the Technion in 1976. After postdoctoral research at ETH Zurich and Indiana University in Bloomington, Daoud joined the Faculty of Mathematics at the Technion. His areas of expertise include geometric function theory, mathematical statistics, analytical probability, and more.

David Shoikhet was born in Ukraine in 1953. He earned a M.Sc. degree from Krasnoyarsk State University (Russia) and a Ph.D. from the Institute of Physics of the Siberian Branch of the Soviet Academy of Sciences in 1983. David's research focuses on nonlinear and complex analysis, dynamical systems, and operator theory.

Simeon Reich was born in Poland in 1948. Having received a D.Sc. from the Technion in 1973, Simeon spent a decade in the USA, working at the University of Chicago and the University of Southern California. He joined the Faculty of Mathematics at the Technion in 1984. Simeon's research covers such diverse areas as nonlinear operator theory, infinite dimensional holomorphy, variational inequalities, and sequential and parallel algorithms in feasibility and optimization.
